Book a Session with Michelle

Hi, I'm Michelle

The decision to begin counseling may feel a bit uncomfortable. I am here to support you through that process. Whether you are an individual, a couple or a family looking for help, my sessions are designed to identify your strengths, increase your self-confidence and support you through your challenges.

As a clinician, I employ solution-focused and outcome-based psychotherapy and coaching techniques to facilitate self-understanding and self-actualization for my clients. It's important to remember that therapy and life coaching are not magic solutions or quick fixes. Rather, they require ongoing participation and self-investment from both the client and clinician to achieve successful outcomes. By committing to personal growth and positive change, clients can achieve dynamic results.

I am passionate about being a part of the helping profession and look forward to the opportunity to assist you.

Specialties

Couples

Couples counseling can be helpful for couples that may be going through different rough patches in their relationships. It provides couples with the tools and skills necessary to navigate challenges and conflicts in a more productive and healthy way.  Through counseling, couples can address communication issues, establish shared values and goals, and learn to work as a team. It also offers an opportunity for couples to deepen their emotional connection and build a foundation of trust and respect. Ultimately, investing in couples counseling can lead to a more fulfilling and satisfying partnership, as well as a stronger family unit.

Trauma & PTSD

I understand the profound impact that trauma can have on a person's life. Trauma can cause a range of symptoms, including flashbacks, avoidance, hypervigilance, and feelings of helplessness or detachment. In therapy, I work with clients to process their traumatic experiences and develop coping skills to manage PTSD symptoms. Trauma-focused therapies can be particularly effective in helping clients process and integrate traumatic memories. I also prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their trauma and its impact on their lives. By working through trauma in therapy, clients can find relief from symptoms, build resilience, and reclaim their lives.
