Hi, I'm Engle.

My favorite part about my job is watching my clients grow and meet their goals, it is so fulfilling to be able to take the journey of healing alongside my clients. My interest in family therapy is the component of connection that brings people together regardless of their differences. With a narrative and structural therapeutic approach, I focus on integrating my client's goals into their newfound life stories. I enjoy doing this while also leaning into mindfulness and positive psychology interventions. I am also Prepare and Enrich certified and dedicated to providing the necessary tools to all couples through premarital counseling.

I became a therapist because it felt like a job made for me, I love investing into others and being a therapist has allowed me to live my life's purpose. I am currently a graduate student therapist at Mercer University School of Medicine with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. In my approach I provide structured therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families at all stages of their journey.

My proverb for therapy is when you’re ready for change, consistency is the key to sustaining your growth.

Specialties

Anxiety and Depression

Whether you are struggling with anxiety and/or depression, it is probably hindering your life in some way. You may feel restless, going through several rabbit holes of intrusive thoughts and worry, constant fears, and overwhelm. On the other hand, you may be feeling stuck, numb, disconnected from others, and uninterested in things you used to enjoy. In therapy, I work with clients to identify the root causes of their anxiety or depression and develop coping skills to manage their symptoms. No matter if you are struggling with anxiety, depression or both, I can assist you with developing new ways of thinking and skills to reduce the impact to get back to feeling like yourself again.

Families

Family dynamics can feel confusing and stressful at times, especially with various opinions, thoughts and perspectives. This may make it difficult to talk things through or find a resolution to a problem. The lingering feeling of unresolved problems can create further turmoil in a family leading to long term issues. In therapy, I work with families to find healthier ways to communicate and integrate conflict resolution in a better way. Each family member will get a chance to feel heard and seen in a safe and non-judgmental space. I will support your family in goals that we all set together to move towards a stronger foundation.
