I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes in the power of the human spirit and commitment to personal growth. My educational background includes a B.A. in Philosophy and Women’s Studies from Spelman College and a M.A. in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from University of South Florida. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and I have extensive experience with those who’ve experienced childhood trauma.
My experience includes work with adolescents, emerging adults, mothers, and family systems. Personally, I practice transcendental meditation, and encourage mindfulness exercises with my clientele. It is my belief that through education, advocacy, and commitment to diversity in the field, clinicians are able to remove the stigma of mental illness and facilitate recovery for all.
I look forward to working with you!
